5 Common Brow Mistakes (and How to Fix Them)
We have seen thousands of brows at our browbar in Breda, and the same small mistakes come up again and again. The good news: every single one is easy to fix.
1. Overplucking the front
The hairs at the front of your brow define your whole face. Pluck only clear strays well outside your natural line, and when in doubt, leave it. Fuller fronts always look more youthful. While you wait for regrowth, fill the area with soft hair strokes using a fine pencil.
2. Making both brows identical
Brows are sisters, not twins. Chasing perfect symmetry usually means removing too much. Work with your natural shape and let each brow be itself.
3. Starting the colour too strong at the front
A harsh block at the front looks drawn-on. Always start applying colour at the arch and tail, then drag the last bit of product toward the front. The natural fade this creates is instantly softer.
4. Using a shade that is too dark
When in doubt, go one shade lighter. Slightly lighter brows blend with your features; too dark takes over your face. You can always build intensity in layers.
5. Skipping brow care
Make-up gets all the attention, but healthy brows are the real foundation. Cleanse gently, exfoliate weekly and hydrate nightly with pure castor oil. Cared-for brows need less make-up in the first place.
